new song in the works?
“The real highlights here were the incredible Foreground, gifted with lighting that added real weight, and then the encore. In which we heard the skeleton of a new song (“Old man, watch your step”, for future reference!)…” (via FasterLouder) so apparently Daniel debuted an acoustic rough sketch of a new song at the Palais show in Melbourne. does anyone have further details,...

Interview with Ed by Buried By The Buzz.com →
Do you think it would potentially be in your interests to do a hip hop collaboration? I think it could be really fun. It would have to depend on what the song was and who the artist was and whether it worked, I wouldn’t want to do it just for the sake of doing it just because it’s newsworthy. I’d only want to do it if it musically made sense and was cool. I’m a huge fan of hip hop and R&B...

Daniel talks to The Irish Times about Archive... →
These songs are from 2003-2006 – what prompted their release now?  We had a contractual obligation to this label, and in order to release In Ear Park with 4AD we had to broker a deal. Interesting Interview with Ed by LifeLounge →
“I was brought up in a really musical household. There was a piano, my grandfather was a professor of music at Harvard, and my mother was a music teacher for little kids. She played the flute, my grandfather played the piano, and my aunt was a cellist… So there were tones of music around me. And I was the bastard with my guitar!”
